Dr. Cahill’s popular weekly newspaper column,”Life in the Nineties,” combined humor with education. To give parents some guidelines for modeling leadership during troubling times, she authored a chapter entitled “Reassuring Young Children: The Role of Parents in Helping Children Overcome Adversity,” for the book “Shocking Violence II.” Her article, “I Feel like a Juggler in a Three Ring Circus” appeared in “Ignite!” magazine and "Empowering Young Women", an in-depth look on the topic of women and the management of home and work life has been serialized in the magazine, "Garden State Woman”. Dr. Cahill’s article, “The Myth of Balance” appears in “Families of Loved Ones (FOLO)” magazine. Her new book on resilience, leadership, and overcoming adversity will be released in early summer ’07 and is titled, “THE CAHILL FACTOR: TURNING ADVERSITY INTO ADVANTAGE”.
Dr. Cahill volunteers her time for programs that support families, children, education, and history. She is the Master of Ceremonies for the annual Memorial Day parade in her home town, and volunteers her time, in many arenas, both at home and across the country.
